Diagnosis of Mechanical Low Back PainUsing a Fuzzy Logic-Based Approach

Back pain is one of the main causes disability and its proper diagnosis treatment are difficult tasks. Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSSs) can help physicians make a more precise diseases. The present study was conducted to design develop CDSS diagnose correct type mechanical low back (LBP) using an Adaptive Neuro-Fuzzy Inference System (ANFIS). diagnostic parameters LBP were determined library reviews views experts based on Delphi technique. A designed in MATLAB R2012 ANFIS. After stage, system tested terms percentage corrected classification value indicators. A for different types LBP, including strain, spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, disc herniation scoliosis. input included 17 output contained various LBP. varied from 80.9% 83.8% (disc spondylolisthesis). showed appropriate accuracy diagnosing As result, this be helpful clinical settings presenting with similar symptoms.
